Recount Writing-Cross Country

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

Cross Country

On Wednesday I went to the Padlie farm with the other kids.

“Ready set go!” shouted Whaea Rosina.

So I zoomed off down the track.

When I got up the hill and down I got a stitch and my side felt like I got stabbed with a knife. It was very painful.

I kept on running. I got to the finish line.

“Yay I’m finished!” I said. I felt good because I finished my race. I had a good day.
