   Why I like Tautoro School

I like learning at Tautoro School because we can learn lots of things. My favourite learning thing is writing.  I like writing because it gives me ideas. We can do maths. I like doubles. We can learn with Whaea Hilary. We can read to her. We can learn with Matua Matt. We learn how to play

hockey, touch and soccer too.

Recount Writing: At the Christmas Parade.

On Saturday morning

Firstly I went to the Christmas parade with my mum and my friends. We got some lollies off the people.

Next we saw Whetu in the cart. It was hooked onto a tractor.

After that it was finished.

Finally we went back home and watched a movie. After the movie we went to sleep.

We have heaps of plants to sell. We have corn and tomato and beetroot and carrots.  We grew these from little seeds and watched them grow big.  Lots of families will get vegetables to eat from us.

At the market day we think we will make $200 or more from our plants.

Cross Country

On Wednesday I went to the Padlie farm with the other kids.

“Ready set go!” shouted Whaea Rosina.

So I zoomed off down the track.

When I got up the hill and down I got a stitch and my side felt like I got stabbed with a knife. It was very painful.

I kept on running. I got to the finish line.

“Yay I’m finished!” I said. I felt good because I finished my race. I had a good day.
