The gods movie making

This week we have been learning about making movies using We video. We learned about different camera angles you can use in your movies to make them more interesting. We learned how to edit our videos useing We video. We used the cutting function to cut out the parts we didnt need. Some of us also added audio to our movies.
We found it easy to record our actions.
We found it challenging to get the timing of our transitions right.
I really enjoyed being able to create what we wanted and being able to work with Dallas.
Next time we could try get the timing right and better sound quality so when we are speaking you can hear us clearly and there is no sound of the wind.

My Digital Day

 We are learning about how we advertise ourselves online. We talked about only posting things online that keeps us safe. We learnd how tagging photos and posts make it easier to find out about someone,so we need to be careful about our posts content. We created a DLO showing our digital day. First I looked at my history and pick a day that I am going to do. Secondly we had to use icons and put them on the island. Thirdly we put foot prints on the island to show our digital footprint.

I noticed that I used Google slides the most that day.

                                                          

Octopus

We are learning to locate language features in a text. We read a poem called octopus. The language features we found were verbs. One of the verbs was Lurking. I think it was like someone was at The back of me and he was creepy.

I found it easy to find the verbs because I know they are action words.

I really enjoyed decorating the poem with sea creatures.

I really enjoyed doing this.

Next time I need to find my audio quicker.

MATARIKI

We were learning about MATARIKI

I found it easy to put the shapes in the right spot.

I found it hard to get all of the stars in the sky.

I really enjoy making this doc.

Next time I need to get all the star in the sky faster.

Public vs Private Info

 We are learning about our digital footprint. We talked about private and public information.

I learned not to give your address to other people.

I already knew not to give my birthday to other people. 

Sir Peter Blake

 

Last term Blake Nz visited our school. We learned about marine reserves. We were able to use VR set to explore the oceans. I found it easy to learn about how to protect the ocean because the VR sets made it interesting.

We also learned about Sir Peter Blake. Sir Peter Blake was the worlds most celebrated yachtsman.

I found it easy to use the VR sets because it made me feel like I was under water too.

Clickety-Clack Cicada

In this poem we looked for differe1nt language features. I found soome like onomatapia,verbs,metaphors We have been learning about language features during Literacy. The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding poems. 

Some of the fetures we spoted in the poems are metaphors, verbs, onomatopoeia, and adjectives. 

This week we read Clickety-Clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

I found it easy to reconise some of the speech quality such as metaphor, onomatopoeia, and verbs.

I found it hard to track down the similes because it is an area I think I need to work on more.

I really enjoyed learning about metaphors because they make the story more interesting and help to create an image in our mind about what the poet is trying to tell us.

Next time I need to work on talking through about the poem more.

The Loaves

We were learning about metaphors. A metaphor compares two different things. In this poem the author used metaphor to compare bread to clouds. 

I found it easy to write and decorate. I created a koru pattern border.

I found it hard to find metaphors. But I really enjoyed trying find the metaphors. 

Next time I need to find all the metaphors straight away.
